Where's the POD at

Hey everyone, thank you so much for eagerly awaiting the Print-on-demand service for Comix.one, in collaboration with HP. We have been hard at work trying to get to get all the components of POD working. These include -

• Negotiating & locking in rates with the Print Service Partners in several geographies. At the moment we've successfully done this in the US, UK, Canada & Australia. We're still in negotiations with our European providers but we will get there soon.
• Shipping rates locked with US, Canada and UK providers, so we will be able to go live with them very soon.
• We're currently working on finalising our backend experience with proofing using Artworker.com. This will help us build the pre-press proofing closely integrated into our system.
• Finally, we want to build out our cart to support the updated print on demand based on shipping.
• We've all setup with HP's backend Brand Center that helps us identify the right printer, the right product configuration based on the order location. So, a reader in the UK can order your book and we will print and ship it from the UK itself. People pay in their local currency and get delivered to their door from their local service!

We're just a few days away from onboarding our first cohort of creators to start testing the new system. The initial release will bring back saddle stitch, but we will follow it up quickly with perfect bound graphic novels too! For now, it's full steam ahead for team comix on getting feedback and bringing POD to the creators and readers of Comicbooks!!!
